’Max Exposure

Ahh, Cinemax. The main outlet for horny males (and maybe even a few females) in Cincinnati to get their rocks off late at night, since our vigilant leadership here in town has seen fit to (try and) ban anything “hardcore” when it comes to adult entertainment. You can’t see penetration on your cable, you can’t see penetration in a hotel room, you can’t buy naughty magazines in convenience stores … heck, there are many adult product companies that won’t even ship spanking materials or sex toys to a zip code starting with “452” (or, um, so we’ve heard … we had a friend who tried it once).

Cinemax should not only be lauded for its dedication to softcore pornography — they also support Cincinnati music! The channel’s current “Life Needs Movies” spring-previewing commercial is soundtracked by our very own Heartless Bastards. The song “All This Time” is used beneath a montage of upcoming Cinemax flicks — not the Dangerous Discretion or Naked Passions or Dangerous Naked Passionate Discretion ones, but the more mainstream ones like X-Men 3 and V For Vendetta. That has to be a tricky one to tell Mom and Dad about — “Hey, check me out on Cinemax tonight!”
