500 Miles to Deep Elm

Kudos to local roots rockin’ Punk/Country band 500 Miles to Memphis. Deep Elm Records recently announced that they have signed the band and will be releasing their new full-length, Sunshine In A Shotglass. A release date has yet to be announced. The band played the 2005 Cincinnati Entertainment Awards at the Taft Theater and have been nominated for a couple of CEAs. Their sound infuses traditonal Country influences with more contemporary Punk and Rock ones (like Uncle Tupelo on a Screeching Weasel bender?). Check out this interview from 2004, the first major press the band received. Deep Elm is the home to groups like The Appleseed Cast and Brandtson.
