They Wuz Robbed!
The massive tour by local Indie/Blues/Cabaret faves The Sundresses — which includes another stop at South By Southwest in Texas later this month (yes, CityBeat will be there again; see here, here and here for just some of our past coverage) — is off to an auspicious start. Here’s the trio’s most recent dispatch from the road:
“Last night at our show in Louisville we were robbed by
terrorist bandits. They stole 2 computers
(PowerbookG3&G4), several expensive boots, jewelry, an
EDIROL Digital Recorder, a large sum of money, contact
lenses, glasses, and more…
Fortunately, they did not get our musical equipment.
We will resume the tour at Little Rock.
My apologies if you are receiving this message and you
don’t want it, but The Sundresses just took a punch to
the gut and we need help getting up. We’re staying
positive. It could be worse.”
Chin up, guys and gal! And best of luck. Look at it this way — it can’t get much worse. Go leave ’em encouraging messages here.
