Yet Even More Music Honors …

’Tis the season, I guess, for giving out honors for music. Pre-eminent altweekly the Village Voice has announced the results of their 34th annual “Pazz & Jop” critics poll. Bob Dylan’s Modern Times (oddly enough, not nominated for a Best Album Grammy) earned the top  honors in the albums category, while — suprise, surprise — Gnarls Barkley’s “Crazy” was named the year’s best single. The Voice‘s poll (now in its 34th year) compiles votes from music critics from around the country. Cincinnati’s Heartless Bastards came in 199th for their  All This Time album, besting their 2005 showing, when they placed 435th for their debut, Stairs and Elevators. Check out the full order of winners here.
