Valentine’s Day for Pizza Lovers

Power Inspires Progress (PIP), a nonprofit training program that provides instruction in food service at a living wage for people trying to make a change in their lives, is holding a Valentine’s Day open house at the new pizza parlor, Venice on Vine.

The site at 1301 Vine St. is a newly renovated space utilizing many donated materials and was designed by college students from the University of Cincinnati and Miami University. The volunteer student labor, under the direction of project coordinator Roy Kaiser (also a volunteer), means there’s a great new place to grab a slice and support an amazing cause.

In addition to the $1,000 Sweetheart Raffle, you can sample delicious munchies prepared by the West End Catering group, also coordinated by PIP. That way you can take care of securing a caterer for the company picnic and take home dinner so that nobody has to cook!

To purchase raffle tickets, call 513-221-7020. For questions about the event or the PIP programs or to check out the catering menu, call 513-381-5882.

If you need to hire a caterer, your money can support a great cause while ensuring your staff or clients have great food.

    Valentine’s Day!!!!

Yummy looks good. I’m going to try to make this. Being from the pizza capital of the world… (and that’s Chicago not New York… Go Bears) but one that loves Cincinnati too… (Go Bengals) I want to see if they can make a great thin crust sausage and green pepper pizza… the thinner the better like vito & nikes on Kedzie Ave.

Man that would make my heart happy.

Like I said, that’s something I am going to really try to attend. Besides it’s for Cincinnati and her chefs… don’t forget the fennel.
